Thursday April 4, 2013 – KiDz HuB Media Network Partnership
Little Rockers has been invited to create a 24 hour internet radio station featuring our favorite kid’s music.
Orlando Dillon founded KiDz HuB Media Network, a non-profit organization that mentors kids and teaches them about all aspects of broadcasting, just 4 years ago. In that time he has built an organization of young people around the world who are committed to covering current events from a youth perspective. We are honored to be included in this great mission to educate and mentor young people. We will be participating in a live monthly broadcast from the Microsoft Store in Freehold Mall as part of KidZ HuB, helping out behind the scenes as well as performing with The Little Rockers Band.

Saturday December 29, 2012 – LITTLE ROCKERS AUDITIONS FOR AGT!
One day, Jessie had a crazy idea. “Today is Monday December 10th. We can shuffle our schedules this Thursday and Friday and drive to Georgia to try and get on AGT!” Chris said “Thats crazy, but, what the heck! What do we have to lose?” So they packed up the car, left Thursday morning at 7am and drove 12 hours to Savannah, Georgia. Woke up bright and early on Friday, warmed up their voices and made their way to the Savannah Mall to audition for the 2013 season of America’s Got Talent. Whew! “We stood in line for about an hour with maybe 150-200 other people, then we got called on to turn in our paperwork. We waited another hour and were directed to a small empty storefront in the mall with about 20 other singers. When our name was called, we stepped up to the big black X on the floor and did our 90 second song. We chose Walkin On Sunshine and slowed it down to a cool Reggae feel. Chris added harmonies and then we kicked it up at the end to finish with dramatic excitement. I think we did great. We got approached a few times to get our pictures taken, once by THE SOUTH magazine and another by AGT” says Jessie. It was a great plan. In a smaller city like Savannah, the competition was considerably smaller than in NYC, LA or Chicago. They drove a combined 24 hours for a 90 second audition. Crazy? Maybe, but it just might work…

Check out the AGT Savannah Audition web page with a shot of the Apples warming up, HERE. See their shot from THE SOUTH magazine HERE.

Wish us luck, everyone. We hope to represent the Jersey Shore this summer 2013!

May 2, 2012 - KINDIEFEST success!

We had a blast at Kindiefest last weekend! Heard some amazing kids music artists and got to meet up with some of the best family entertainers from all over the country. We met Dan Zanes and Steve from Blue’s Clues, a real thrill! Plus, we hung with Recess Monkey, Alphabet Rockers, KBC Kids, Lori Henriques, Mista Cookie Jar, Diggity Dudes & Uncle Devin. Search any of these artists to hear some great new kids music. The Kindie community is growing and we were inspired to see so many cool people doing what we do everyday. So cool…

Kindiefest is the nation’s only family music industry conference. The Little Rockers Band will be in attendance to mingle with some of the coolest Kindie artists and big shots in the biz. Panel discussions will focus on different aspects of the music business: concerts, TV shows, marketing and how to reach a wider audience of rockin’ families with your music. Last year we met Laurie Berkner and saw some incredible bands play. This year, we’re super psyched to see Dan Zanes perform and listen to a talk by Yo Gabba Gabba! co-creator, Scott Schultz.
